Romans 12:20-21 ” Therefore If thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head. Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.
We have established the fact that as disciples of Jesus Christ we have to do what God expects us to do. Even if it’s difficult, even if it goes against what the world says is acceptable, even if it means to be different, we have to choose to do what He has commanded us to do. We are called to be different, a peculiar people and that’s because we are called to love everybody in the love of Christ. We often don’t realize that their are things that we do in life that glorify the enemy. We often do what God says not to do and not do what God says to do. One man wrote every time we are disobedient to the truth of the Word its like giving high fives to the devil or kissing Him on the cheek while holding the hand of Jesus. Some of us are saying How do we do this? How do we love God with all our heart, love one another, love our neighbor and even love our enemies? Is it even possible? Let me tell you the way to true love is in self-sacrificing. Putting our self aside and putting others ahead of us. Think about it. For God so loved the world that He gave. This is agape love. The only way to true happiness in your life comes from self-sacrificial love. Even to them that hate you. If you want true freedom in Christ we must follow the truth. Mark 12:30-31 tells us there is none other commandment greater than this. I hope your seeing the importance that love plays in our life. It could change every area of your life. Husbands read Ephesians 5:25, wives read Ephesians 5:22, children read Ephesians 6:1. It’s all about submitting. Submitting is a self-sacrificial love. Marriages can come back together by obeying the truth. Whole families can come back together by obeying the truth. Our relationship with others and or fellowman must be grounded on the bases of our relationship to our Lord Jesus Christ. Today that’s ask God to give us the love we need to be victorious in life. Romans 5:8 For God commandeth his love towards us, in that while we were sinners, Christ dies for us. While we were the enemies of God, Christ came and redeemed us. We all were locked in darkness at one time but He didn’t let that stop Him from coming to redeem us from sin. Your enemy needs the Lord. Your neighbor needs the lord, just as you needed the Lord at one time. And your love or lack of love can influence their life. The command is to love one another, even your enemies
